Bookings

Provisional bookings will be accepted by telephone, but should be confirmed by returning a completed booking form together with the full deposit (£50 per house per week) within 7 days. The balance of the full rent should be paid not less than 3 weeks before the commencement of the let. When late bookings are accepted the full rent must be paid as soon as possible before the commencement of the tenancy. Any outstanding accounts should be settled by the last Friday evening of your stay. Cheques should be made payable to Westloch House Estate.

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation by the tenant the deposit will be forfeit and the proprietors must be notified immediately. If the cancellation is made less than 3 weeks before the commencement of the let the total rent will be forfeit. However, every effort will be made to re-let the cancellation and provided this is successful the original tenant will only forfeit the deposit.

Insurance

It is advisable to insure against the risk of losing the whole rent should circumstances make it impossible for you to take your holiday as planned.

Party Size

The number of people occupying any property must not exceed the maximum number which each house is meant to "sleep" (excluding babies under 2). Any party which exceeds the maximum number specified will automatically be asked to leave and no refund will be due in respect of any part of the rent paid.

Arrival and Departure Times

COTTAGES AND CHALETS WILL BE READY FOR OCCUPATION AFTER 4 PM ON THE DAY(SATURDAY)OF ARRIVAL AND TENANTS ARE ASKED TO VACATE THEIR PREMISES BY 10.00AM ON THE DAY (SATURDAY) OF DEPARTURE. FOR SHORT BREAKS OCCUPATION IS FROM 12p.m. AND DEPARTURE TIME IS 10 a.m.

Breakages and Cleaning

THE TENANT WILL KEEP THE PROPERTY AND ALL FURNITURE, EQUIPMENT AND FITMENTS IN OR ON THE PROPERTY IN THE LIKE STATE OF REPAIR, CONDITION AND CLEANLINESS AS AT THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE LETTINGS AND WILL MAKE GOOD ANY DAMAGE, BREAKAGE OR LOSS THAT MAY OCCUR DURING THE PERIOD OF LETTING.

Pets

Pets are welcome but must be kept under strict control at ALL times. DOGS MUST NOT BE LEFT IN THE HOUSES UNATTENDED.

Fishing

Fishing on Coldingham Loch is strictly fly fishing only, 9.00am to dusk, seven days per week from March to November. Nine boats are available and there is over 1 mile of good bank fishing. Rod permits are for either boat or bank fishing and are non-transferable. The maximum 'bag' is four fish per rod per day, with no fish less than 12" in length to be taken. No pleasure rowing, engines, sailing boats or swimming are allowed.

Firearms

No guns, crossbows, bows and arrows or any offensive weapons of any sort will be allowed on the estate, or in any of the houses of the estate. No shooting of any sort, trapping or illegal fishing will be tolerated under any circumstances.

Public Liability

No responsibility is accepted for any accident or injury to persons visiting the estate or for loss or damage to their property.
