Coldingham Loch

The Loch has been closed for boat fishing since the end of November and all the boats are now being overhauled and re-painted ready for next season.

If anyone would like to come and fish from the bank during the winter months and the weather permits it, then please ring us to see if we are open and you would be very welcome. Please be aware however that the Loch will not be stocked again until late February when we will start stocking in preparation for Opening Day.

Opening Day will be March 17^th 2012. All the boats are already booked for Opening Day itself however if you wish to be on a reserve list for a boat or you would like to book a place on the bank then please let us know. We also have some boats left for Sunday 18^th.

We really look forward to meeting you all in the coming season for what we hope will be some great fishing days at Coldingham Loch.

Lochside Cottage

Refurbished for the 2012 season, this unique Victorian boathouse sits over the loch and comes with its own boat moored underneath. In a beautiful spot across the loch from the Fishermen’s Lodge this cottage offers a truly special place to stay and experience the tranquillity of the loch. It can be accessed by car along a track around the loch and by boat across the loch. This cottage offers guests the chance to really get away from it all, watch the trout rise in the loch, enjoy the abundant bird and wildlife and some lucky few may get chance to see the otters that reside on the loch. For fishermen, walkers, bird watchers and nature lovers Lochside Cottage is a place to unwind and relax and will have guests wanting to return time and again.

The Lodge

Lodge Cottage this lovely old cottage would have been the Gate house /lodge to the old estate. This whitewashed traditional cottage stands at the entrance to the site near in the same area as the chalets. It has a light and airy feel offering warm and comfortable accommodation that is popular amongst the regular holiday guests. With trees around and a garden area to sit out in the local bird life can be observed and enjoyed.

This chalet is the most popular one amongst regular guests. It is tucked away in a quiet corner of the site and is cosy and warm in the cooler months.

Sunnyside Chalet

This chalet has been completely re-furbished in September 2011. It is tucked away in a quiet corner of the site near to Hawthorn and has its own garden area and parking. A good heating system keeps it warm in the cooler months.

Elm Chalet

This chalet is situated to the right of the entrance drive and has great views of the trees with the birdlife. Guests like to sit and watch the woodpeckers from here whilst having breakfast. It is the biggest of the chalets with an extra sitting/living room inside that can be used as another sleeping area with a ‘put you up’ bed suitable for children.

Set amongst the trees alongside the small track to Hawthorn. Parking is available but not directly outside the chalet, a few minutes’ walk (though cars can be parked in front on the track for loading etc)
