Fly Fishing for brown, blue and rainbow trout set in the most stunningly beautiful countryside of the Scottish borders

Coldingham is a natural spring fed 22 acre Loch, which forms the focal point of the privately owned Westloch House Estate. As one of the countries oldest established Trout fisheries it offers the discerning angler the opportunity to fish in it's crystal clear waters for it's hard fighting, fast growing, free rising trout.

Regularly stocked throughout the season with it's own "ranched" fish this managed Loch has an extended season from March to November and offers both boat and easily accessible bank fishing of more than a mile. Numbers of rods are restricted to ensure that the anglers never feel crowded so booking is essential at all times.

Fully fined Blue and Rainbow Trout averaging more than 2lbs and our own strain Browns from 1lb are taken regularly on dries and small nymphs from May onwards, traditional Loch style methods work well all year and the evening fishing in July and August can produce the most fantastic rises of fish. Buzzer fishing in April and early May produce some fine over-wintered fish to 6lbs every year and there is always the chance of that fish of a lifetime at any time of year
